Home Page Setup

WordPress gives you the option to display your front page as a "Static Page" or a "Blog".

To change these settings, simply go to Settings → Reading in your admin console. Here you can either select a "Page" to be displayed on your front page or choose to display all your latests blog "Posts" instead.

If you choose to display a static page as your home page, you can create another page named "Blog". This page will serve as a placeholder for your blog entries when assigned as your "Posts Page" in Settings → Reading. This is useful to control your blog URL. In this example, your blog would be at yourdomain.com/blog.

Onyx allows you to insert shortcodes directly from the editor. Using the built-in layout grids, you can get as creative as you like with your home page (or any other page). Couple this feature with the various tabs and toggle styes, and you can make beautiful product pages! In our home page, we used the designer page template which is basically a wide page with the title hidden, so you have total control of the page within the editor. Here is the formula we used to layout the home page in this demo.
